Teachers, both virtually and in-person, often struggle with keeping the attention of the class. Lectures run on and get boring, games can make a class rowdy, the struggle is real!

So what do we do? Where is the easy medium?

While on a Zoom call with a fellow teacher, I learned of a tool this teacher uses during her lessons called Wheel Decide. It’s fun tools like these that help students get excited about the regularly dull tasks in a class.

I’ve started using this in my studio and it has transformed the excitement and energy during the lesson. Specially since the majority of my lessons are online, fun resources like these can really take a student out of the virtual dred and into the musical garden they always wish to be in.
